Abstract: Cinema is an innovative mixture of art, culture, tradition, and literature. When anyone says or hears about cinema or its synonyms i.e, movie, film, etc. people make imaginary visuals of that film. We as an audience feel the character's characteristics inside us. Many of us act, behave or try to dress up as our favorite film characters, and this is most common among youngsters. Cinema is more than a 180 minutes drama or a story showcased onto a 35mm screen by a group of filmmakers, it's a hope for many, it can be a motivation, or it can be a dream life for anyone of us. Films are called the mirror of society. It directly co-relates with us and put an eternal impact on our minds. It can be seen in previous years that teenagers are inspired by characters in the film and changed their style of living i.e. dressing, behavior or hairstyle, etc.

Bollywood is the largest Hindi film industry situated in Mumbai. Bollywood's total worldwide collection was around 7081.56 Cr. in 2019, a 30% increase compared to the previous year. This box office collection shows the demand and likeness of the Bollywood films world widely. Cinema is the primary mode of entertainment around the world.

"The great thing about cinema is that it's a great binder. It brings people from across the world together, often erasing the lines between geographies, languages, familiarity, and the like. Cinema is art, and art, they say, is a reflection of life and society, so the way we tell our stories is the main differentiator for me."

- Privanka Chopra (Bollywood Actress)

Cinema is a compact medium of showcasing culture, art, and literature in its unique way with the help of audio and visuals. It is the best medium to preserve art and culture differently with anonymous ideas.

The history of Indian cinema is very old. The first full-length feature film Raja Harishchandra was directed by Dada Shaheb Phalke in 1913. From 1913 to the current decade cinema changed its form. The films of the early era have the art, culture, and literature with strong moral, which conveys the idea and views which was necessary for becoming a good human being and making a civilized society with moral values.
Bollywood of the current decade is racing for making the highest profits atthe box office far away from its basic idea of showcasing art, culture, and literature.
Cinema success is calculated by box office collection. For gaining maximum profits Bollywood is influenced by Hollywood and the Western style of film-making.

The cinema which was started in India with the idea of showcasing its culture, art, literature, rituals, customs, and beliefs with the film like Raja Harishchandra, is now in the race of earning maximum profit atthe box office by serving the nudity, abusive languages and violence to the public. Not only the name but the current decade of Bollywood mainstream commercial cinema also influenced by the westernized culture of showcasing nudity, sexuality, violence, and abusive language which is somewhere at the starting or end of our culture, art, customs, and literature as cinema plays the important role in preserving and spreading the culture, art, and literature for a long period. Uniqueness in culture defines the nation in the world, without culture, no nation can survive.

The journey of Bollywood and the change in film-making culture can be easily understood by the difference between these two very famous dialogues of the 1975s blockbuster film 'Deewar' and the 2011s blockbuster film "The Dirty Picture":

Dialogue from the film 'Deewar'

"Aaj Mere Paas Gaadi Hai, Bungla Hai, Paisa Hai.... Tumhare Paas Kya Hai?"
